The Calamity Mod adds 30 new armor sets and 2 miscellaneous armor pieces. Some armor set bonuses such as Omega Blue armor have an activated ability which can be bound to a key. Equipping a full set of the same armor type provides a Set Bonus, which is an additional unique effect provided. For several armor sets, these stats are divided for each of the main classes (Melee, Ranged, Mage, Summoner, and Rogue) through helmet piece variants. Most armor pieces also grant additional stats or effects such as damage. Armor pieces are either crafted, purchased from NPCs, or dropped from enemies. Armor can also be placed in vanity slots to change the player's appearance without affecting stats. Armor pieces are equipped by placing them in the armor slots of the player's inventory.
Armor is a set of equipable defense items that reduce damage taken from enemies and most other damage sources.
